Earth Shots 2.0 is here!
Welcome to the new version of Earth Shots!
At the beginning of November, EarthShots.org turned four years old! To celebrate this momentous milestone, we have completely revamped the website with a brand new site design and improved functionality. We also plan to introduce a number of additional new features in the future.
We hope that these changes will help cement Earth Shots’ reputation as a prestigious photo contest and a spectacular online showcase of our planet’s wonders.
We’re also pleased to announce the launch of a new weekly email newsletter. This provides a summary of the previous week’s winning photographs every Sunday. You can subscribe to the newsletter here:

Slick new web design! Really feels nice although not keen on the adsense above the header – fine in the sidebar but overkill up top too

The little Google gimmick that would put EarthShot pictures onto the personalized Google search pages does not work anymore. Is there a replacement?

Congratulations on the new design and upgrades.
Another thing I think you should add, since this is a .org domain, is some explanation of how the contest works: who the judges are, where the adsense $ goes and so on… It would lead to a more transparent and confidence inspiring atmosphere for entering photos.
